Beef burger recipe

Ingredients:

For the burger patties:

500g ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat for juicy burgers)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

For assembling the burgers:

Burger buns

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

Onion slices

Cheese slices (your choice, e.g., cheddar, Swiss, American)

Pickles (optional)

Ketchup and/or mustard (optional)

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix everything well, but avoid over-mixing to keep the patties tender.

Divide the mixture into equal portions (usually around 4-6 depending on the desired patty size) and shape them into burger patties. You can make them about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.

Preheat your grill or stove top griddle over medium-high heat. If using a stove top, add a little oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Cook the patties on the grill or griddle for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your preferred level of doneness (medium-rare, medium, or well-done).

In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty to melt.

While the patties are cooking, you can lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

Assemble your burgers: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Then add the cooked patty with melted cheese. Top with tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles (if using).

Add ketchup and/or mustard to the top half of the bun, or any other condiments you prefer.

Put the top half of the bun on the assembled burger, and your homemade beef burgers are ready to serve!

Enjoy your delicious homemade beef burgers with your favorite sides like French fries or a fresh salad.
